Accordion Book with Signatures
After a week’s break, I’m back to doing my weekly Facebook lives. This week I created a small accordion book with sewn signatures from handmade paper. Click on the play button and then on the 4 arrows to make the video full screen so you can see it better. Alternatively, you can watch it on Facebook.
I received quite a few questions about the tools and supplies I used, so here’s a list. Remember that you can purchase these items from many different places but these are places I shop frequently.
Small teflon bone folder
3/4″ Glue Brush
PVA glue
35/3 waxed linen thread (I didn’t use this one but should have)
4 ply waxed linen thread
Bookbinding needle #1
Punching Cradle (currently out of stock) – try this DIY tutorial instead
Thin awl
10″ aluminum triangle
Olfa snap-off knife
Quilting clips
Feel free to post your questions in the comments below.

I’m so appreciative of the accordion fold book. I’m organizing a group of retired Nurses to contribute a page each for a younger not retired colleague who died in her bed four days after her mother passed in Hospice.
We had a memorial service and a Dogwood Tree planted at the hospital where we all had worked with her.
I’m mailing pages to them with return stamped envelopes and then I will incorporate each page in this valley fold method. It’s perfect for the project.
Thank you.
