Art Journal Pages
It’s a holiday weekend in the USA and I spent most of Saturday and Sunday working. So, after shopping for new couches today (we’ve had our current ones 15 years and they were used when we got them!), I took some time to create a few more pages for the art journal I started in Wendy’s Vecchi’s class last month.
I created the background for the first page using Distress Inks, stencils and drips of water. The heart was made with Studio 490’s Large Heart stencil and Embossing Paste covered with Red Geranium Archival Ink. The words are from a Tim Holtz set called Stuff to Say.
The second page also features a sentiment from the same Tim Holtz collection and the main Queen Ann’s Lace image is from Penny Black – both are stamped with black archival ink. The flower is highlighted with white-out pen and again, the background was created with various Distress Inks and stencils.
They are bright and colorful, so I’m entering them into Splitcoast’s Free For All challenge and the Mixability challenge.
I hope you had an awesome weekend!

Hi, Ali! Love both pages with all that great color! You have not fallen far from the “teacher” tree in my book. Very “Wendy” like creations, but with your own flare! Bravo you!
