Gelatin Printing

I mentioned back in this post that I’ve been creating monoprints with a gelatin plate recently. It’s a learning curve, for sure, but I love both the process and results.

I’m taking a class with Linda Germain right now and the class is wonderful.  If you ever get a chance to take her course, I highly recommend it.  So far I’ve made my own gelatin plate and have been experimenting with different inks, papers and brayers.  Below are some practice prints with leaves I picked up outside.

I’ve been posting my prints on Istagram each day, click here if you’d like to follow along.
