Instagram Books Arts Inspiration II
I find Instagram a rich source of inspiration and ideas, so today I’m sharing some wonderful projects and artist that I discovered recently. Please visit the artists’ feeds to give them some love and likes!
Each journal that Louise from Bibliographica creates is a work of art. She uses found leather and vintage fabrics in her unique designs. As well as regular sized journals, this New Zealand book artist makes adorable mini books and wearable books. To see more of Louise’s work, check out her Instagram feed and her Etsy store.
While we’re talking about found materials, I fell in love with this driftwood book by Scottish paper artist, Joanna Caskie. As well as books, I know you’ll adore her paper mâché and driftwood house sculptures. You can find Joanna’s work on Instagram and Etsy.
I’m not sure what I like best about Richard Heaton’s Instagram feed: the fabulous books or the awesome name, Toe Bean Bindery! Richard has been making books for a while, but is a relative newcomer to Instagram, however, that didn’t stop his fabulous wooden books catching my attention as I was scrolling through my feed. I was particularly drawn to his books’ leather details and I can’t wait to see more of his work.
And now for something colorful, check out these fun little painted paper art journals made by artist, author and illustrator, Colleen Stone. They’re the kind of books that put a smile on your face! Check out Colleen’s work on her website, View From The Heart and on Instagram.
