I have a feeling I’ve shared this Anais Nin quote on the blog before, but this really resonates with me, so I figured it couldn’t hurt to post it again. I created a simple journal page showcasing an altered flower photo:
I had a huge amount of fun today altering Instagram photographs that I took with my Iphone. I took this picture of a coneflower last week during a visit to a local arboretum.
I printed the picture on matt photo paper, sanded it all over and stamped script with white craft ink. Next, I painted crackle paint around the outside of the image, scuffed up the edges and dragged them through black ink. I finished the photo by highlighting the flower with Prisma pencils. Here’s a close-up:
