Lovely Vintage Finds on a Summer Afternoon
Today was such a beautiful day that I just couldn’t wait to get outside. I worked all morning creating Etsy orders and by lunchtime I couldn’t stay in the house a minute longer.
I decided to go on an impromptu mini road trip to historic Concord, Massachusetts – only a 40 minute drive from home. I walked around the leafy streets admiring the breathtaking colonial houses and gardens, then browsed around a specialty food store, a kitchen store and a used book shop around Main Street.
Concord also happens to be home a fabulous vintage store called Nesting on Main, which I only visit a couple of times a year because I want spend a month’s mortgage each time! I stopped by and spent the best part of an hour examining every detail – it’s vintage lovers heaven!
Here’s a quick picture I snapped with my iphone:
Here are a few of the treasures that I picked up – some vintage postage stamps, a set of vintage keys and some vintage French pharmacy labels.
I can’t wait to use these treasures in some artwork – stay tuned!
