As we continue our theme of making mini books in August, I created a little Flutter Accordion Book this week. It’s based directions from the awesome book, Japanese Bookbinding, Instructions from a Master Craftsman by Kojiro Ikegami.
The Flutter book is a type of accordion, but you don’t use one long strip of paper; you piece together smaller pieces that you fold into one-page signatures. The book shown is 2″ high, and each page or panel is 1.5″ wide. The entire book measures approximately 18″ in length.
