Mini Leather Books
I’ve been intrigued by miniature books for a while, so I made some miniature leather journals to sell during Open Studios this holiday season. I know some people love creating miniatures, but I don’t think I fall into that group. They were fun to make but too fiddly for my taste and probably not something I’d do often.
They all have 2-signature bindings and measure approx. 1″ x 2″ – here’s a selection:
The first 2-section binding is parallel bars:
I’m calling this one 3-Sided Square:
This is Alpha Stitch (see a larger version and tutorial here)
This 1-section binding is called bow tie that I’ve repeated with 2 signatures. You can see a larger version here.
This is a cross stitched 2-section binding adapted from a 3-section binding. I made a larger version here.
The ones that don’t sell will be available on Sunday, December 13 at 3pm EST in an Online Holiday Pop-Up Shop that I’m a member of. Check it out and become a member so you’ll be the first to see all the great holiday bargains!
