Old Projects & Good Memories
I’ve been cleaning up my studio trying to get organized for the Fall season and I found some of the first books I made more than ten years ago. It was such a joy find these projects because they brought back such lovely memories, which is one of the main reasons I love to make books! I thought I’d share a few of them today:
This squash book (sometimes called Dragon book) from a vacation we took in 2007. It’s a bittersweet find because it includes photos of my father-in-law who passed away last year 🙁 Here’s a tutorial on how to make this book.
This is a mini 3″ x 3″ accordion book decorated with various pieces of new and old ephemera. I made it just for fun and I still find the quotes meaningful.
This final book is a journal that I made for myself to write it. The long-stitch book is made from grey Kraft-Tex and the cover has a mixed media tag.
